If our police catch any illegal immigrants committing crimes, they need to call ICE to deport them. That’s as far as our police should go regarding immigration. It’s not the police’s job—it’s the federal government’s responsibility to deport illegal immigrants. It costs money and resources for every action the police take, and that should all be focused on keeping the citizens of McKinney safe. The federal government caused this problem by keeping the border open, and they need to fix it.
